Future Park and SPHERE Shopping Centers hosted the “Future Park Green Future Forum: Greener Future, Together”, reaffirming the role of the business sector in addressing climate change through tangible actions. The forum highlighted collaboration among government agencies, private enterprises, and environmental, technology, and innovation partners to accelerate sustainable solutions in waste management and green building development.
The event was honored by the participation of the Department of Climate Change and Environment, represented by Mr. Pawich Kesawang, Deputy Director-General, who shared national policy perspectives and global environmental trends, including carbon taxation and the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). He also emphasized the critical role of Thai businesses in strengthening competitiveness on the global stage amid evolving environmental regulations.
Future Park presented its comprehensive and systematic environmental strategy, encompassing waste management from source separation, landfill waste reduction, and organic waste valorization, to enhancing energy efficiency through smart building systems. These initiatives are complemented by the expansion of renewable energy usage via solar rooftop installations, efficient water management, and water reuse systems.
The forum was made possible through collaboration with key partners across multiple sectors, including:
- SCG, through ONNEX by SCG, providing expertise and technologies in green building solutions, energy efficiency optimization, solar rooftop installation, and preparation toward EDGE Certification.
- Oklin, showcasing innovative technology that transforms food waste into organic fertilizer, reducing organic waste volumes and methane emissions while supporting the circular economy.
- Glean Thailand, introducing the concept “The Future of Waste is Digital”, leveraging digital platforms to promote tangible waste segregation behavior among consumers.
- Better World Green, presenting sustainable solutions for managing “orphan waste” through its Waste Return Home Program.
- SMS Corporation, featuring Yes Bio, a range of sustainable and environmentally friendly products designed for a more sustainable future.
- Mr. Chanat Vuthivikarn (Kong Green), who shared inspirational perspectives on green lifestyles, bridging policy, technology, and everyday action.
Future Park has set clear sustainability targets, including reducing resource consumption and environmental impact, minimizing waste transported offsite, increasing the proportion of clean energy usage, expanding water reuse, and advancing toward future carbon credit mechanisms. These efforts align with the organization’s ambition to achieve Zero Waste and to develop green buildings in accordance with international standards.
A Future Park executive stated that this collaboration reflects a fundamental belief that “sustainability is not the responsibility of any single organization, but a collective effort of all sectors.” Future Park invites tenants, customers, and partners to make environmental responsibility part of everyday life and to jointly build a Greener Future, Together.
